A poem in dedication to Guru, the divine guide of the soul:
Your face lights up my whole world Only in your presence do I settle Your laughter destroys the evils of three worlds Your words guide the soul in dark nights I am so insignificant - Unworthy of your love And lucky that your love doesn't wait for my worth You are the Incarnation of Love & Bliss You are the last Link in the chain of the Divine You are the river that brings all that's good You are the north star in the moonless night The tongue breaks and life gives out And yet no one can describe your greatness Even when I am ignorant and rebellious You still love, guide and protect me No expression can describe your love... Mothers can abandon their child Fathers can disappear Friends can betray Even Gods might forsake the man And yet you never let go of my hand Even when I run away from your grace You're the only one that can guide Here, There, in wakefulness or deep sleep I take refuge at your feet Which are more reliable than the Himalayas
